A course of marriage preparation for engaged couples who intend to be married at S Mary's is conducted annually by a team of six married couples.

Holy Communion at home and the Sacrament of the Sick
Father Jones would be grateful if members of the Parish would inform him of any sickness in their families or among thier friends so that Holy Communion may be brought to them or the Sacrament of the Sick administered when appropriate.
Special Ministers of the Eucharist
Twelve parishioners have been commissioned as Special Ministers of the Eucharist. Their Ministry is exercised by assisting in the distribution of Holy Communion at Mass and by taking Holy Communion to sick parishioners in thier homes.

Collection Counters
This group consists of teams of four or five people who, working on an eight week rota, take it in turns to count the collections. This is done on Sunday morning after the 11.00 am Mass. This process usually takes about three-quarters of an hour to an hour depending on the number of people in the group.
