Revd. Jim Henderson
I came to ministry late in life, in my early 50s, having left school at 15 having had no higher education. I have just begun my 8th year of ministry. This means my ministry is grounded in the every day - my working background having been 9 years in the Royal Navy as a cook, followed by 23 years in the fire service as a firefighter.
I am pretty easy going and I enjoy people; my ministry style is relaxed and I enjoy both traditional and contemporary styles of worship. Being a 'people person' means that I am more than happy to be there when needed. As part of my training, I did a counselling course, and though I may not be the world's greatest listener, I do try.
I am married to Kathleen and we have 4 children: James, Sarah, Emma and Liam. The eldest will be 40 this year and the youngest is 25. We also have 2 grandchildren: Callum aged 9 and India aged 4.
Most of my leisure time is spent with family though I enjoy reading and walking the dog.
Joyce Kimberlee, Community Worker

Joyce says:-
I assist with the Church's youth clubs, Junior Church activities and parent and toddler groups. I am involved with young people at local schools: listening to chidren read at Castle Hill School and helping with the the breakfast club at Tonge Moor School. I also take part in Schools Mediation - getting young people (& possibly teachers as well) together where there has been conflict. I attend community panel meetings for Tonge Moor and Hall'ith'Wood, and am a member of the newly formed Hall'ith'Wood action group, working alongside the Police Authority and Juvenile Response Team in a bid to get young and older people working together on the estate. I'm also a volunteer for the Bolton Credit Union.
