Welcome to the Dementia Support Group.
We are your local support group.Are you a carer for a loved one with dementia? We are all carers, some with the problems you may have. We have solutions, suggestions and experience in coping with problems of dementia.
Training groups are organised,taking one morning a week for 8 weeks. This can be followed by joining a dementia support group for carers. At present we have several support groups who with self help have applied for financial grants. Computer training has been funded and this web site set up by our group.
We intend to be available for all carers of loved ones with dementia.

The Story of the Logo...
It is composed of a lighted candle surrounded by a base of viola's or pansies which represent in 'flower'language, "thoughts" and "heartsease". The lighted candle echo's the chinese proverb,"It is better to light a candle than curse the darkness". This demonstrates the groups commitment to dispel despair at the evils and injustices of this world.
