Each year we try to attend the International Dementia Conference.
In 2009 we were fortunate to be funded by Bolton Vision and we sent four delegates to represent the Dementia Support Group as well as the people of Bolton.
The event was held at York racecourse where we met delegates from all over the world.
Collectively we attended over 50 presentations and actively promoted services in Bolton.

Our Chairperson Lynn had been nominated for the Volunteer of the year award for all the innovative work that is carried out by the Group
We were delighted that Lynn was a finalist and Mina was presented by the award on Lynn's behalf.
