EXTRA EVENTS 2008.
WED 16 JULY: Guided Walk: The Heritage and Archaeology of Seven Acres Park Sara will be leading this walk through Seven Acres. 7-9pm, free to members, £2 to non-members. Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing. Meeting point: Thicketford Road car park (free parking).
TUE 12 AUG: Behind the Scenes at Bolton Museum Tom Hardwick, Curator of Egyptology and Archaeology, will be giving a guided tour of the Egyptology galleries and taking us to see non-display items held in the stores. Free to members. Meet 5.45pm in the Museum foyer.
MON 20 OCT: Joyce Tyldesley and Angela Thomas - Egypt's Sun Kings This event is jointly organised by the Octagon Theatre and BAES. Joyce and Angela will be talking about some of Egypt's most famous royalty - the 'heretic' Pharaoh Akhenaten, his wife Nefertiti, and his son Tutankhamun. This talk will be held at the Octagon Theatre, 7.30pm. BAES members £3, non-members £5. For tickets call 01204 556501 or visit the Box Office.
