Bolton Alternative Transport Bike Recycling Project
is a new volunteer community project bringing
Bolton's bikes back to life!
Our aims are simple :to promote and develop bicycle use in Bolton. We take donations and try to stop bicycles being scrapped ,if we can we will put them back on the road. We have just moved to a new premises at:
(unit 4) 65. Knowsley Street, Bolton opp Market Hall with kind support from
Bolton Council meanwhile Lease Scheme. And cleaner greener Grant and Health for Bolton
We can provide Cycle maintenance Training .Bike Safety Training Bike repair and accessories and good second hand cycles at a fair price.
Our Mission
If we can't put a bike back on the road we will try to salvage
useable parts to be used on other Bikes. Greater Manchester
Waste are trying to reduce the amount of bicycles that they
have to process. Projects like this will help divert waste
streams from landfill in the Bolton area.
We also work with other community groups to provide training
and servicable bikes for users, these include:

Bolton Greenhouse Project
Greater Manchester Police, who kindly donate
Bikes to the Educational Element of the Project.
All donations are appreciated and your Bicycle Donations can
be picked up by us to be re-used or taken for parts to keep
other bikes on the road.
