YOUTHNET
YouthNet is the UK's first exclusively online charity. We guide and support young people, enabling them to make educated life choices, participate in society and achieve their ambitions.
It was launched in 1995 as the internet was beginning to take hold. We were the first exclusively online charity, and today our mission remains the same.
It aims to create a socially inclusive environment where young people living in the UK are engaged, informed and inspired to achieve their ambitions and dreams. We deliver high-quality information, signposting and front-line emotional support primarily through the internet, but increasingly through mobile phones, digital interactive TV and hand-held devices - the tools that are central to the way young people communicate.
"We deliver high-quality information, signposting and front-line emotional support primarily through the internet."
We do this mainly through our two websites: TheSite.org, a guide to life for 16 to 25 year-olds; and Do-it, home of the UK's only national volunteering database.
At 15 years old, we're still a young charity, but we're proud of our achievements. In this time we've formed groundbreaking partnerships, developed our very own software, helped to inspire people from diverse backgrounds to volunteer, and given millions of young people the advice and support they need to live their lives with confidence...
